Writing Home Could be a Challenge!!

V-Mail has a whole different meaning now than it did then.  It was called Victory Mail and involved microfilming letters home to make room on the cargo planes and ships for weapons and supplies.

Taylor to his parents and his sister, Peggy (a.k.a., Johnnie), from the battlefront are being made public because they may be inspirational to today's youth and provide great insight into what these young flyboys experienced on their way to becoming national heroes during World War II - a time when technology meant being strapped into a hard seat for hours and hours while waiting to deliver the goods.  And they always did.
